Wicked Leather unleash scorching ‘Night Hunger’ video
Barcelona’s rising heavy metal force Wicked Leather has set loose their debut double-single, Echoes of the Storm, available since 30 November 30 2024, via Swedish label Jawbreaker Records. The release is accompanied by a gripping music video for “Night Hunter,” while “Lightning Strike” extends the rip-roaring ride further, boasting a blistering guest solo by Jaimie Killhead (Savaged, Raptore).
The band exploded onto the scene in late 2023 when Yami, the band’s lead vocalist and driving force, decided it was time to unleash a groundbreaking fury, summoning the phantoms of heavy metal’s rich past. Shortly after, Dani, Pau (bass), Michel (guitar), and Uri (drums) —past and present members of Redshark, Crimson Storm, The Evil Dead, Onirophagus, and Estertor— joined, and a firestorm of chaos followed.
Wicked Leather shares the following about the “Night Hunter” video:
“Shot by the award-winning Catalan director Albert Muns, the video pays homage to beloved 80s classics, plunging you into a shadowy world where a sinister figure stalks the darkness, their murderous intent mirrored by the raw energy of the band’s performance.”

A fresh force in the metal scene, Wicked Leather is here to make an impact and take no prisoners, with each member bringing their own influences to the table. They are all attitude, all hunger, and all about pouring everything into their craft before stepping on stage. With heavy metal coursing through their veins, the Barcelona quintet delivers relentless energy, no filler—just raw power. Their sound hits hard with precision, blending fierce riffs and razor-sharp solos.
Lyrically, Wicked Leather’s double-single Echoes of the Storm delves into dark, personal themes. On the track “Night Hunter,” Yami draws inspiration from encounters with shadowy characters that anyone could fall prey to. “Lightning Strike,” another track from the EP, explores themes of loss and the obsession with resurrection, spiraling into chaos as the story unfolds. Despite these brooding narratives, the band’s sound remains untamed, taking you off the rails and galloping through a sea of madness with relentless momentum. Both songs were mixed at the revered Moontower Studios.
Wicked Leather’s live debut at the 2024 Young Blood Festival received rave reviews, setting the stage for even more exhilarating performances. Their next show will be at Barcelona’s Upload venue on 11 January 2025, with additional dates to follow. Get ready for a ride that moves you from the first note to the last.
