UK metalcore unit Distance Divine launch politically charged comeback single

,

After a three-year hiatus, anthemic UK metalcore outfit Distance Divine have returned with their explosive new comeback single, “Self-Destruction“, featuring JJ Olifent (Hacktivist, ex-Borders). A self-produced and politically charged single, showcasing the band’s unique blend of metalcore with techno and drum & bass influences, “Self-Destruction” comes alongside an official lyric video and visualiser.

The band states that “Self-Destruction” “serves as an anti-establishment anthem, inspired by current events and resonating with listeners who feel the weight of societal pressures.” The track is also the band’s first with new frontman Jonny Nelson (ex-VioletTahoeVerbalinchi), who adds a fresh layer of intensity to the band’s heavy-yet-accessible metalcore sound.

The release of “Self-Destruction” also follows the group’s recent live debut at Life Is Music fest in Derby, alongside bands such as FrostbittBlack CoastDe’Lour and more. With the promise of more new music and shows on the horizon, Distance Divine are closing out their 2024 the way they intend to go in in 2025: loud and proud.
