The year wrapping up means that we’ll be looking back at the amazing things we’ve experienced, and “album of the year” lists. We’d also like to give some attention to our talented concert photographers who go out and cover shows for us. So here is a first in a series of articles where our artists pick their favorite pictures of 2023 with Anna/ScarletMemory Photography who mostly roams around in Tampere, Finland and pictures from bands like Pain, Sólstafir, Eleine, Myrath, Battle Beast, Brymir, Sabaton, Mors Subita, Lordi, Metalite, Shereign, Diablo, Before The Dawn, Wolfheart, Sonata Arctica, Deathstars, Brother Firetribe, Psychework, Apocalyptica, Voidfallen, Poets of the Fall, Amorphis, Lost Society, and Everwave!
Katatonia and Sólstafir, two masters of melancholy and doom on a co-headline tour through Europe, supported by the American SOM, which we caught at their stop at Trix in Antwerp, Belgium!
Back in Munich, Sweden’s Katatonia and co-headliners Iceland’s Sólstafir brought the luxurious company SOM and warmed up a cold winter night nicely at the Backstage venue.
Katatonia, together with Solstafir and SOM, are touring Europe & UK on their ‘Twilight Burials Tour 2023’. Presenting songs from their latest album ‘Sky Void Of Stars’ live for the first time. We were at their stop in LKA Longhorn, Stuttgart!
The first stop on Katatonia’s and Sólstafirs co-headlineing tour was Pakkahuone in Tampere, Finland with SOM as support act. If you’re still hesitant about getting tickets for a show near you, let these captures convince you!
