Album Reviews

Galactic Quarantine brings die hard fans of Devin Townsend a sci-fi experience supported by a selection from his huge back catalog.

Liquid Tension Experiment 3 delivers once again what they are known for. Super music food for the more nerdy musical progressive lovers out there.

Another gem in the rich history of excellent albums that Evergrey releases into the world. Dense powerful music with deep emotional lyrics.

Expect the unexpected, that’s the least we can say about Panther, the 11th album of Pain Of Salvation. The creativity on this album is unseen and unheard of.

Vulkan is a heavy, progressive rock band from Karlstad, Sweden. They have already released two albums: ‘Mask Of Air‘ (2011) and ‘Observants‘ (2016). Rise Radiant is the Caligula’s Horse sound pushed to its extremes: at once its most ferocious and its most touching, its most expansive and its most condensed, its most poetic and its most vicious. A mist have for the prog rockers deep inside of us.

With Virus, Haken created once again a very enjoyable progressive album with a conceptually link to Vector.

Green Carnation releases their first new album in 14 years and it’s a musical masterpiece like you’d come to expect from these prog masters.

As far as musical valentine gifts go they don’t get much sweeter than this. Ihsahn has just released the first of two EPs dedicated to his hometown of Telemark in Norway.

“Pitfalls” is the album that nobody expected from Leprous. Alternative and progressive mixed as one topped with beautiful emotional melodies.
