The very last day of Belgium’s biggest yearly metal event with the very last (we promise) show of Kiss!

Day 0 of GMM has been a solid warm up for a couple of years and this year is was no different.

3 days of the best you can find in metal, rock and other related genres all came together on the Suvilahti grounds in Helsinki, what resulted in yet another great edition of Tuska!

The 2018 edition of Dynamo Metalfest was again bull’s eye, the music, the bands, the people, the organisation, the weather. Read all about it !!!

Only the 2nd edition of The Rock Fest in Finland and we were in for one hell of a massive event!

The first edition of a festival that is aiming for the stars! With a lot of good but also a lot of bad happening…

On the last weekend of April 2017, Groezrock took place at Meerhout, a town located in Antwerp (Belgium). Like told before in the preview, the weather left us hanging a bit .. and so did traffic a little. But that didn’t keep all the Punkrock/Hardcore lovers at home. By the time I arrived on Friday, a […]

Onze impressie van dag drie van de 42ste editie van de Lokerse Feesten, ook wel gekend als de “Metaldag”…

They were able to bring a killer line-up again on the 2nd day of their event with besides a fantastic show by themselves, Insomnium, Gaerea, Balance Breach, I Am Your God and Lastout!

Best Of 2023 Tom VM

Our Benelux and France head of accreditation and most active photographer in that region, Tom VM, made his own selection of favorite pictures he took in 2023, including some new stuff that wasn’t shared on our site before with Biohazard, Bleed From Within, Brutal Sphincter, Brutus, Electric Callboy, Michael Schenker Group, Sepultura, Arion, Blackrain, Overdrivers, Avatar, Winery Dogs, Charlotte Wessels, Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Extreme, Ghost, Michael Angelo Batio, Arch Enemy, Doodseskader, Halestorm, I Prevail, Powerwolf and SKYND!

Welcoming events that try to bring something different and out of the norm to Finland, we went to the second night of the club festival Hellsinki Techfest with Sirkuit Preiker, Khroma, Balance Breach and Hacktivist back in September for some killer music and high energy!

The last Wednesday night of November at The Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne, Indiana was definitely NOT a “Nightmare” or a cause for “Panic” for fans anxiously waiting to catch a stop on the “Blackout Tour” with From Ashes to New, The Word Alive, Catch Your Breath and Ekoh!

Back in August, Asgaard’s new live season kicked off with a metalcore/deathcore event in collaboration with Return Bookings, bringing Signs of the Swarm, Mental Cruelty, When Plagues Collide, Knives To A Gunfight and Subvergence to our venue to absolutely destroy!

We caught the renown German metalcore outfit Annisokay killing it at the Backstage venue in Munich, with the support of 2 promising bands with Fixation and To Kill Achilles!

Album Reviews

Finnish metalcore misfits One Morning Left are sitting on a banger of an album with ‘Hyperactive’, mixing in the right amounts of 80s kitsch creating a neon monster along the way!

ANNISOKAY’s latest release ‘Aurora’ is a daring album due to the mixing of other genre’s in their metalcore.

Although you didn’t see it coming, you’re stuck in it. It attacks you, shows what it’s capable of, and then leaves. This 30 minute debut record by Abigail’s Affair is powerful, it smacks you in the face.

I went through, listened to and reviewed the newest release from Black Veil Brides. Here’s the re-make you didn’t know you needed!

Finnish outfit Balance Breach is setting the tone for what metalcore could sound like and doing a damn fine job at it!

On this Halloween day, we’re looking back at the last release of one of the most prolific metalcore bands of recent times: Ice Nine Kills!

Metalcore outfit Fit For A King is back with a 6th installment, hopefully continuing “The Path” they earlier set for themselves…

This metalcore power party on a disk is also the 10th anniversary of Eskimo Callboy and together with the new singer, it’s the beginning of a new chapter.

Line-up changes are always scary and don’t always turn out for the best… which can’t be said about Make Them Suffer.

With ‘Fracture’ Bleed From Within has released an energetic, if somewhat less than original, metalcore album.
