Another band that impressed us highly earlier this summer when they played at Tuska, is the German metalcore outfit Annisokay! They just recently unleashed a new video single with ‘Get Your Sh!t Together’, out via Arising Empire, and will be roaming through Europe as support for Within Temptation later this year!

While the summer is about to be wrapping up, we can already look ahead towards the summer of 2025, especially after Tuska just announced the first 16 confirmed acts for next year’s edition with Electric Callboy, Powerwolf, Nothing More, Orbit Culture, Kim Dracula, Korpiklaani, Marko Hietala, Tarja, Charlotte Wessels, thrown, Eihwar, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Blood Command, Arion and Tyrantti and the first announced headliner with Lorna Shore!

After blowing us away with their show at Tuska earlier this summer, we can’t help but be really excited about the news that Make Them Suffer is releasing a new self-titled album via Greyscale Records and SharpTone Records later this year still! They announced it a couple of weeks ago and with the announcement came the new single ‘Oscillator’, which has been played quite a few times here, what a banger!

Fit For A King dropped the video for their brand-new single ‘TECHNIUM’, featuring Landon Tewers from The Plot In You, out via Solid State Records!

Alternative rock/metalcore outfit Kingdom Of Giants announced their upcoming EP ‘Bleeding Star’ to be out in September via SharpTone Records and unleashed the video single ‘Asphalt’!

New Orleans sensation Cane Hill announced their upcoming new album ‘a piece of me i never let you find’, set for release in October via Out Of Line Music, and shared the new video single ‘Fade’!

Metal quintet For The Fallen Dreams released a remix version of the song ‘Searching’, a track taken from their latest self-titled album, released via Arising Empire!

Spanish metal outfit SynlakrosS released earlier this month their video single ‘Bunnies And Bows’, a banger of a track from their upcoming album ‘Mental Parasites’, set for release in October!

Metalcore juggernaut Our Hollow, Our Home unveiled their brand-new video single ‘Funeral Verse’ via Arising Empire last week, and will be touring through Europe in autumn in support of the Ghøstkid “Hollywood Suicide Tour 2024”!

Norway’s rising stars in metalcore Fixation released the new single ‘Random Acts Of Violence’ via Indie Recordings last week, while they’re gearing up to embark on their summer tour which will take them to Tuska in Finland next week!

The first Tuska 2023 day is here! In a handful of hours the gates will open and 3 days of heavy music will begin! Besides the headliners and some big names, we’ve picked out about 10 bands and artists we believe you should give a shot while you’re at Tuska this weekend with Vended, Kouta, Foreseen and Miseria Ultima today, A.A. Williams, Orbit Culture, Dirt and Nakkeknækker tomorrow, and Vermilia and URNE on Sunday!

Week 37 brought us a bunch of wholesome, heavy and unique songs and videos from bands like Dust In Mind, SKYND, Lorna shore, Starbenders, In Flames, Vévaki, King Dude, Sahg and Electric Callboy. Go check them out if you haven’t yet!

The music industry is at it again at full force after the festival season with a massive amount of really cool releases coming out, just look at the number of our most anticipated releases for September have grown into and then we probably could have included more still. With new albums from Blind Guardian, Yungblud, Wolfheart, Slipknot, Starcrawler, Lost Society, The Hu, Vermin Womb, Vermilia, Bloodbath, Slugcrust, Electric Callboy, Innumerable Forms, Tribal Gaze, Gaerea and Graceless, it’ll be quite the month again!

Things are getting ramped up now that the summer period is at its end! Great releases are coming out soon and it showed in the past week with new singles from Slipknot, Gaerea, Alien Weaponry, Brymir, Orbit Culture, Suasion ft. Steffi Pacson and The Callous Daoboys that amazed us!

With singles from Wolfheart, Electric Callboy, Luna Kills, Aeveris and Bastarður we introduce our new article series in which we recommend and highlight some of the singles that really impressed us and stuck by us recently! More coming soon!

Ektomorf

A couple of weeks ago, Ektomorf brought their ‘Vivid Black Over Europe Tour 2024’ to the South of Heaven venue in Bilzen, Belgium, and supported by Inmate, Serpents and Tag My Heart brought the house down!

A great night of modern metal and metalcore with Polaris, Silent Planet, Thornhill and Paledusk!

Orbit Culture

“Descending into madness EU/UK Tour 2024” is Orbit Culture’s first European headliner tour ever and we caught them at their impressive stop in Antwerp, Belgium, with support from Defects!

Tonight we get to see them in Helsinki, but about a week-and-a-half ago, the Australian Polaris returned to Munich as one of the stops on their Europe together with Paledusk, Thornhill and Silent Planet.

It’s spring and the year kicks off with a metalcore highlight: Electric Callboy is on the ‘Tekkno World Tour 2024’, and we caught them at the Schleyerhalle venue in Stuttgart, Germany. In tow, the German sextet brought along the band Coldrain from Japan and Nothing More from the United States. They are setting ablaze the largest stages in Europe before heading on to the US, Canada, and a selection of summer festivals, don’t miss out!

The UK progressive metallers Tesseract were touring around Europe to present their latest release ‘War of Being’, bringing a visual and musical delight to a packed Tavastia in Helsinki! With them, they brought the German proggers of Unprocessed and US mathcore up-and-comers of The Callous Daoboys!

An assault bus passed through Munich, and inside it were the Americans of Lionheart, Suicide Silence, Kublai Khan and Paleface Swiss, who simply wrung all the sweat out of those present in the larger room of the Backstage club.

Once again the Backstage München received an explosive night with Tenside dropping by for a hometown show showcasing their brand-new album ‘Come Alive Dying’, and very special guests For I Am King and The Oklahoma Kid!

Last week, after a fantastic 2023, Bury Tomorrow started the new year with a victory lap in their own country with a small UK tour with the support of metalcore/modern metal greats We Came As Romans and Kingdom of Giants! We caught up with them at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle for what was an amazing show!
