Last year, we met up with Mikko and Juho of Valkeat shortly before the release of their 2nd full-length album ‘Fireborn’ (released via Reaper Entertainment) to talk about how things came together and how they have a mission to create modern folk metal incorporating the kantele and being inspired by Finnish legends and poetry.

We sat down with Esa from Metal De Facto to talk about how things have been going for the band since their first album, their new album ‘Land of the Rising Sun part 1’ (out since today via Rockshots Records), why they went for the Japanese culture as the theme and their hopes and plans for the future of the band!

They’re playing a release show tonight in Tampere and tomorrow in Helsinki, be there and contribute in making power metal great again!

Finnish death metal band Ashen Tomb presents a brutal old school record in their debut full length album “Ecstatic Death Reign”. The quintet delivers brutality, grooves and ferocity in the vein of Entombed with death-doom metal vocals drawing elements from Disma, out via Everlasting Spew Records.

Finland’s symphonic/melodic black metal outfit Pestilent Hex crafts the traditional sound of Scandinavian black metal on the second full length album “Sorceries of Sanguine & Shadow”, out via Debemur Morti Productions since last week’s Friday.
