The French symphonic melodic death metal outfit Aephanemer came to On The Rocks, saw a wild crowd and conquered everyone’s hearts! Here’s for hoping that they get to come back to Finland some time really soon! And local up-and-comers Numento definitely got us warmed up properly for the main event!

Daniel Graves came one last time with Aesthetic Perfection as a headlining band to Finland and took us on a ride through some of the most popular tracks of the band’s history, giving us a night to remember! Support came from Mechanical Vein.

Imminence came back to Finland to play an absolutely killer show for a completely sold out On The Rocks in Helsinki, with the support of the Norwegian deathpop maniacs of Blood Command!

Sabatons ‘Tour To End All Tours’ came finally to an end, but not before also bringing the fire to Finland. With the Support of Lordi and BABYMETAL, they gave us an incredible show at the sold out Jäähalli in Helsinki last week. Thanks to TuskaLive and Grey Beard for bringing them here!

Nervosa came to On The Rocks in Helsinki to prove to us all that they are still a force to be reckoned with, even though the band is in yet another new iteration at the moment. With Prika on vocals, they sound as solid as ever, and killed it. Local heavy metal heroes Satan’s Fall were special guests and warmed us up nicely for the good old thrashing we were getting later.

Back in March, Electric Callboy set down one of the parties of the year at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, and did it 2 nights in a row in front of a completely sold out room. We can hardly wait to see these guys kill it again at Tuska Festival and at their headline position at Alcatraz this festival summer! Support came of course of the band to watch, Future Palace!

Back in March, Leprous dropped by Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki on their “Aphelion European Tour” and swept us away with a night of exceptional music, supported by Monuments and Kalandra.

German folk outfit Faun made it all the way to Finland to turn Helsinki rock club Tavastia in a magical place filled with legendary tales and creatures dancing to their wonderful tunes. With them came the Italian duo Emian to get us in the right mood. So many thanks to TuskaLive for bringing these lovely people there!

Lost Society brought with Balance Breach and Luna Kills a showcase of the future of the Finnish heavy music scene in front of a completely sold out and packed to the brim Tavastia in Helsinki!

A couple of months ago, Elektrik Products satisfied our need for some good beats to dance to yet again by bringing the popular Swedes of Priest back to Helsinki for a crazy night at On The Rocks! And with them came the intense industrial duo Ambassador21, a special “old school electro” set of Freakangel and an opening show of Teknohirvi, the electro version of thrash outfit The Hirvi!

Tuhdimmat Tahdit’s second day with Brother Firetribe, Tarot, Huora, Klamydia, Suburban Tribe, Sonata Arctica and Apulanta was just as much fun as the first day!

Day one of Tuhdimmat Tahdit in it’s all renewed version gave us Kotiteollisuus, Marko Hietala, Lost Society, Stratovarius, Mokoma, Stam1na and Amorphis. What a great festival that we sure will return to again in the future.

In the beginning of last week, a sold out On The Rocks in Helsinki truly got warmed up for the upcoming Tuska Festival when the legendary Suburban Tribe played their first show in over 13 years! If you’re at Tuska today, they are a must-see… see you at the Radio City Stage by 19:15!

Brymirs new masterpiece ‘Voices in the Sky’ is unleashed to the world via Napalm Records. If you like the band’s previous releases, you will absolutely love this one. it’s bigger, better and even more epic than ever before.

Finnish renowned veterans L.L. (all instruments), and M.M. (Vocals and lyrics) present their symphonic oeuvre under the moniker of Pestilent Hex. Debut album “Ashen Abhorrence” finds its way into the magical hallmarks of melodic/symphonic black metal of the early nineties and was released with Debemur Morti Productions.

Dawn of Solace recently released a 4 track acoustic EP ‘Notes of Perdition’ via Nobel Demon Records, which solely focuses on the emotions it’s trying to convey. There’s no extras, nothing unnecessary. While it’s not the most creative record it’s of high quality: raw, simple and yet very emotional.

Finnish black outfit Moonlight Sorcery’s musical quest wanders across the creative hallmarks of the Scandinavian black metal, the debut EP “Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity” offers a refreshing and inspirational muse to fans of melodic black metal, out via Avantgarde Music!

After last year’s impressive fictional compilation album “Killection”, Lordi is back with an even more mind-blowing release as they unleash a back catalogue of 7 albums with “Lordiversity”!
