Tuska unleashed the first batch of bands for the 2024 line-up and it seems they put their chips strongly on modern metal/metalcore with Bring Me The Horizon, Bloodred Hourglass, Bury Tomorrow, Make Them Suffer, Infected Rain and Fixation, proggy music with Opeth, Vola, Voyager and Riverside, and power metal with Alestorm, Angus McSix and Brothers Of Metal. And of course, festival regulars Amorphis and Stam1na belong to the party as well!

Festival Reports

One of the highlights of our adventures in the Finnish Autumn/Winter season, was most definitely the 3rd edition of Black Box Mikkeli, with on the 2nd day a celebration of Finnish metal with Lastout, I Am Your God, Balance Breach, Insomnium, the foreign black metal storm that is Gaerea, and of course an amazing set by Bloodred Hourglass, bringing their latest album in full!

The first edition of Hellsinki Metal was absolutely epic, find some of the most memorable performances here with Pentagram, Priest, I Am Morbid, Bury Tomorrow, Emperor, Fit For An Autopsy and Watain!

Report of the first day of SaariHelvetti, one of the only festivals in Finland during the summer of 2020 during the pandemic!

We went to the second day of the first ever edition of the Metal Crane festival in Helsinki, to be smashed by melodic death metal and wallowing in depression through post-black metal!

Besides starting the new year properly looking to the future, this month we’re also still looking back at all the awesomeness that 2023 brought us. One of those awsome things was the already 3rd edition of the by Bloodred Hourglass curated festival Black Box Mikkeli. They were able to bring a killer line-up again on the 2nd day of their event with besides a fantastic show by themselves, Insomnium, Gaerea, Balance Breach, I Am Your God and Lastout!

Every year the Lost in Music Festival brings around 100 Artists to Tampere, showcasing what the Nordic region has to offer of music. And we made it to one of the shows happening at Olympia-Kortteli, featuring rising stars Bloodred Hourglass, One Morning Left and Shereign. It was packed, it was hot and it was a big party!

Tuhdimmat Tahdit and Master Events brought one very hot festival to Tampere’s Ratinanniemi. It started with Verikalpa and ended with Beast in Black, but we also can’t forget about all the bands in between: Transworld Identity, Prestige, Ensiferum, Bloodred Hourglass, Dynazty, Lordi, Mors Subita, Dead by April and Diablo.
