Album Reviews

“Deconsecrate” is a kind of album that will make you remember the good old days from the early nineties when there were abundant bands that played the aggressive style of melodic death metal.

‘Abhorrent Rapture’ conveys a pummeling approach to death metal and stand as one of the strongest acts in the genre.

‘Excretion of Mortality’ obtains its brutality from the caveman riffs and the abrupt shifts in the visceral drumming work. The seven tracks manifest the putrid style of the Finnish death metal of the early nineties.

“Mercurial Passages” is utterly obscure and emphasizes a doomy atmosphere. Recommended for fans of Obliteration, Autopsy, and Demilich.

‘Burn In Many Mirrors’ is an intense album full of raw and organic composition, applied by a high-quality performance.

Atramentus has surely created their own niche, “Stygian” combines the somber qualities that define the dark aesthetics of funeral doom.

Bedsore takes many influences from other bands like Atheist and Cynic., but the Italian lads have crafted their debut by merging the progressive elements of death metal with other psychedelic aspects.

Over the thirty minutes of its duration, VoidCeremony has competently dazzled me with their unique and professional talent.

With such grotesque imagination, Ulthar’s songs on ‘Providence’ are spawned by the array of primitive raw black metal and brutal death metal.

While waiting for the next full length, Khemmis’ new EP, filled with rarities, covers and live tracks, will serve as an excellent appetizer for one of epic doom’s most promising newcomers.
