Carach Angren – ‘Franckensteina Strataemontanus’ listening session, album details + Q&A
The album recounts some parts of his life under the guise of a fantastical setting in which he experiments on the dead (‘The Necromancer’), inspires necrophiliac serial killers (‘Der Vampir von Nürnberg‘), turns into a vengeful spirit and possesses a boy who murders his entire family (‘Scourged Ghoul Undead’). Carach Angren also make a very interesting reference to one of Dippel’s creations: bone oil, a poison used during WWII during Operation Compass (‘Operation Compass’) in an astonishing instance of chemical warfare. It’s all just riveting! You’ll have to hear it for yourself of course.
