SteelFest announces “SteelHordes 2021” summer festival

It’s been since SteelFest 2019 and SteelChaos 2019 (reports and pics here and here) that we’ve been able to enjoy the unrelenting and uncompromising atmosphere that the Finnish (and international) hordes bring to the stages every year. Clearly the people behind the events are sick and tired of not having this, especially since the latest cancellation/postponing of SteelFest 2021 to next year (which looks like it could be an extra large edition for their 10th anniversary, hopefully more info soon), so they decided to invoke a brand new Summer festival named “SteelHordes”.

As SteelFest 2021 was postponed to spring 2022 this would mean whole summer again without uncompromised drinking and extreme metal? F.O.A.D We are announcing new festival, STEELHORDES 2021. Read more below how and why we are doing this.

STEELHORDES 2021: Dates 20-21.08. 2021.
Venue: Willatehdas, Hyvinkää (Same with Steelfest)

HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE , COVID AND ALL THAT ?

The Finnish Government has published a plan to lift the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. In August we are on situation where: (STEEL HORDES dates are 20-21th of August) Internal border control has ended. Commuter traffic AT LEAST within the EU will be possible (On government`s plan this is going to happen in May-June) Restrictions on gatherings are eased or removed. (On government`s plan this is going to happen in June-July)Restrictions on the number of participants in public events are eased or removed (On government`s plan this is going to happen in June-July)The aim is to transition to the second phase in July at the latest. During this phase, it would also be possible to organise larger public events so that the maximum number of attendees would be determined based on the size and characteristics of the space reserved for the event. In the third phase (from August), the restrictions would be lifted completely.

SUM UP: Restrictions on gatherings and larger public events are eased or removed between May-July. STEEL HORDES dates are 20-21th of August.

IF REGULATIONS IN AUGUST LIMIT AMOUNT OF AUDIENCE IN PUBLIC EVENTS? “First bought tickets, first served”

ONLY by purchasing tickets among the first ones will secure your access to the festival. For example if the regulation limit is max. 2000 audience. The FIRST 2000 sold tickets stay valid and tickets sold after the first 2000 will be refunded. Whatever the limit will be in August, the same thing. First bought tickets up to the regulation limit stay valid and the rest of the tickets are refunded. So ONLY by purchasing tickets among the first ones will secure your access.

STEELHORDES 2021 GETS CANCELED?
If regulations due virus in August are too strict to build up festival, SteelHordes 2020 will be canceled and all tickets and pre-sales merchandise will be refunded.

SUMMARY: Basicly two things to keep in mind.
1. You can buy SteelHordes tickets safely. If problems due virus comes up, you will get refunded.
2. Be fast. First bought tickets to the regulation limit stay valid and rest of tickets are refunded. So ONLY by purchasing tickets among the first ones will secure your access.

We are pretty excited about seeing organizers daring to launch a brand new event and them creating the possibility to have somewhat of a festival summer this year! Keep an eye out for more information and the line-up hopefully soon!
