Silentium signs to Out Of Line Music & release brand-new single ‘Unchained’

Silentium is a Finnish Goth Metal pioneer that’s also received the dark blessing of a cult band status. Now finally Silentium has ended their decade-long hibernation to beat back with the powerful comeback single ‘Unchained’. And now they are welcomed to the Out Of Line Music family as well!

Riina Rinkininen states:

‘Unchained’ was the first song to be completed for the upcoming Silentium album. Keyboardist Sami Boman concludes:

“For years it has lurked in the dark waiting to be released. The idea of this song started to grow from the rhythmic pattern hammered by Janne‘s drums in the beginning of the track and evolved to this kind of a solid headbanger of the upcoming album. Riina‘s amazing vocals and Aapeli‘s and Juha‘s smashing guitar leads then perfected the final arrangement”

And Riina heartens: 

“The support and interest we’ve received from our fans across the globe throughout our long brewing period has been incredible. I can’t begin to tell you how happy we are to finally deliver new material to everyone who’s patiently stood by us through an entire decade of silence. We now hope to play live to as many people and in as many locations as possible, both in Finland and abroad – once the world returns to normal. More material is also already in the works.”

The long silence ended in May 2019 already when Silentium released ‘Empty’ as single and video which is a cover of the Finnish-French pop duo Eva+Manu. The release attracted a significant amount of attention on the radio, press, streaming services – as well as the depths of the world wide web. Silentium, originally from the tiny town of Jämsänkoski, Finland, has played countless gigs both in Finland and abroad during their career and are known for their energetic live shows and fan-friendly approach. Silentium will be releasing their sixth studio album later in summer via Out Of Line Music and are currently planning to accompany the release with a tour.
