It is time for Jera On Air again! Groezrock’s (Belgium) little brother located in Ysselsteyn in the Netherlands. A lot more smaller but with the same fun! Just like Groezrock, this festival has punk & hardcore on the list, but far cheaper! With around 200 km’s away from Ghent (Belgium) it is worth the drive. This year the festival takes place from June 22 till June 24. 

Why should you go?

Well last year I went for my first time. Everything on the festival is close to each other, wich makes running to different stages easy when you barely have time between bands. Good views at the shows and you dont have to wait long to get a drink or food. You can get drinks this year at € 2,20. A Combi ticket costs barely € 60. Still not convinced? This year they open up a day early! Instead of June 23 (friday) they start on June 22 (thursday)  evening with a pre-party for their 25th anniversary.  After that you get 2 full festivaldays on June 23 & 24. Do you want to join the pre-party? But dont want to stay at the campsite? You can purchase a ticket just for this at the festival doors.

They have 2 large music stages, a Dj-stage, punkrockbar, a beergarten, food court, and yeh even signing sessions. Enough places to party, but only till around 02:00. This festival closes grounds early so people can get a decent amount of sleep for the next day.  Ofcourse you can still go grab a drink at your tent, but think about the others around you. Keep the noise down.

Line up

This years Architects will play at the Impericon mainstage. They played at Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel (Belgium) last weekend. In case you missed them, here is another chance to check these guys out. A British metalcore band from Brighton, England.  But also Comeback Kid, Northlane, While She Sleeps, Every Time I Die and many others will be playing another show here after last weekend’s Graspop. You can do the party all over again but less crowded.

Architects closes the Impericon mainstage on June 23 (friday) from 00:00 – 01:00
On June 24 (Saturday) Me First And The Gimme Gimmes will close the festival from 00:00 – 01:15 at that very same stage.

This festival made his own anthem, so put it on replay before you go!

How to get there

By car,bike,bus,train,foot, it’s all possible. Shuttlebusses drive each day from the station Deurne. Cars can be parked 4 kms away from the festival, but don’t worry there are shuttles as well. More info to be found on the Jera On Air website at Info

Take care of yourself

In case of bright sunshine its recommended to bring sunscreen with a high factor. Drink plenty of water and seek the shade regularly. Be prepared for any type of weather. Provide yourself with rainwear and good shoes. Umbrellas are not allowed, but ponchos are. Don’t forget to eat too, you can find many different foodstands as Just like your mom and many other snacks. Not feeling well? Like every festival there is a first aid stand, look for a white flag and a red cross. Take care of yourself and your friends in any kind of temperature.
