On Friday and Saturday, the 19th and 20th of July, Dynamo Metalfest will be taking place at the Ijssportcentrum Eindhoven (an artificial ice skating rink) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. For the first time again a festival of more than 1 day, there is a lot of exciting things to be looking forward to!

LINEUP AND TIMETABLE

What can you expect to see at Dynamo Metalfest? A mixture of rock, (melodic and folk) death metal, heavy metal… even some glam metal. Some new names and promises for the future of metal like Baest and Alien Weaponry, some old and highly valued names like Soulfly, Carcass,… There’s something for everyone!

TICKETS AND TOKENS

Tickets for the festival cost €38,50 and give entry to Friday AND Saturday. Tickets for the camping grounds are sold separately and cost €15,-. Both tickets are sold online through Ticketmaster

Tokens (for drinks and food) are sold at the festival grounds for €2,80 each.

Your first drink will cost one extra token. In return you’ll receive a hardcup, which you can trade in for a clean cup when you go get a new drink. This is used as an incentive to prevent littering. At the end of the day you can return the cup and receive €2,- back. If you would like a reusable plastic tray for carrying multiple drinks, that will also cost you 1 token. So think before you consider tossing them!

If you arrive by car (and are on time), there are free parking spots at a few minutes walking distance to the Ijssportcentrum. The amount of available spots are limited though! Alternatively, Farmer Wilfred, located a mere 5 meters from the entrance of the Ijssportcentrum, offers visitors to park their car at his farm for €10. However, it’s always a good idea to have your own back-up plans! Plan your trip accordingly and make sure you know where you can park if the main parking spots have been taken.

If you travel by public transport, it is possible to travel with a shuttlebus from Eindhoven’s central station. A ticket for the shuttlebus is sold separately through No Worries.Traffic.

GO IN PREPARED

Make sure you have everything you need with you, because if you leave the the festival grounds, chances are you won’t be able to get back in due to security measures.
