On the 13th of October, Kamelot and Leaves’ Eyes came to the small town of Bruges for the closing night of their European tour. Although Bruges hasn’t been a traditional stop on any tours in the past, it would seem that things are slowly changing for the better in that regard, thanks to Feed The Fire. Though located outside of the city proper, it is still a nice venue because of the 2 level construction with a large balcony going all around the room with a big hole in the middle.
The available space was quite packed and the crowd got along pretty fast once Leaves‘ Eyes started playing their symphonic metal that is drawing more and more viking related inspiration over the recent years. One of the singers even changed to a leather armor and helmet for the last part of their show.
Kamelot then only had to lift things up to a higher level, which they did with ease. They had the crowd all up in the palm of their hand and stayed at an impressive quality throughout the whole show. Especially Tommy Karevik‘s voice is as beautiful live as it is on albums.
