On March 12th of 2020 (no that’s not a typo) Fleddy Melculy was to present their then new album ‘Sabbath Fleddy Sabbath’ in Kavka Zappa, Antwerp. A great venue with a capacity of 1.000 people and awesome atmosphere. Unfortunately that was the day before bars and restaurants closed down in Belgium and the first lockdown hit. Friday the 13th. Coincidence? Needless to say all other events got cancelled as well and Fleddy and friends decided to be the first band to live stream their event, but having a crowd present was impossible at the time.
Fast forward to September 2021. Almost exactly one and a half year later gigs and cultural events are permitted again and oh my, how things have changed. In the meantime the guys didn’t sit back and relax. On the contrary. New projects got started, new bands were formed and Fleddy Melculy even wrote and recorded an entire new album: ‘…and just niks for all’.
After rescheduling several times they finally got to kick off their Benelux tour on October 23rd and they didn’t forget about us. We were invited for the Antwerp show with local heroes Knives To A Gunfight in the smaller, yet super cozy Trix Club with about 350 people and are more than happy to share the joy with you guys!
