Oathbreaker is gearing up for their last shows for awhile!
After the release of their 3rd studio album Rheia in September 2016 (for our review go here), Oathbreaker toured very intensive around the world. 2 American, 2 European and a Russian tour later, their gig on December 20th in the Ancienne Belgique will be the last for the foreseeable future.
2017 was an enormous test for Oathbreaker, on the level of band and on a personal level. The heavy touring, sitting on each others lips, a stranded relationship and repeatingly every night having to dig for the energy to play the best show live, has demanded its toll. That’s why they decided to take a few steps back, not play any live shows in 2018 but focus on their private lives, other bands and writing a new record.
Oathbreaker is not quitting, it’s not a hiatus but there is some time needed away from the band to keep the fire ablaze. That’s why they’re finishing the year with a European tour with Syndrome to then go to the limit for one last time with New Moon & Universe in the Ancienne Belgique on December 20th. Hope to see you there for a night to remember!
