Nova Twins release powerful new single ‘Monsters’

Receiving its premiere as “Hottest Record In The World” on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders, trailblazing alt-rock duo Nova Twins have unleashed their electrifying new single, Monsters. The track blends raw intensity with boundary-pushing creativity, showcasing the band’s fearless artistry. Recorded with renowned producer Rich Costey (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Sam Fender, Muse), Monsters emerges as a future anthem for a jilted generation. 

Amy and Georgia explain the message behind the song:

“Monsters is about awakening to and understanding your mental health. Growing up, we often look outward, absorbing what life throws at us. Over time, the good and bad experiences start to settle. Before learning to navigate these feelings, you may face self-loathing, anxiety and a fear of who you’ve become. Confronting these emotions, breathing through them, and opening up to someone can help. Many people struggle with mental health, and this song aims to show vulnerability and let our audience know they’re not alone.”

Since bursting out of the independent UK scene, the Mercury Music Prize and two-time BRIT Award nominees have rewritten the rulebook of what a modern rock band can achieve. They’ve dominated iconic festivals from Glastonbury to Summer Sonic, shared stages with legends like Foo Fighters, Muse, and Bring Me The Horizon, and drawn praise from global icons like Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, who calls them “an incredible band,” and Elton John, who describes them as “phenomenal.”

The duo’s acclaim spans both their music and their cultural impact. They’ve graced the covers of Kerrang!, NME, UPSET, Alternative Press, Rock Sound (and more), and won prestigious awards at the Music Week Women in Music Awards, AIM Awards, Kerrang! Nova Twins’ impact extends beyond their music. Their Voices For The Unheard initiative amplifies underrepresented artists in the alternative sphere while supporting vital causes like The Black Curriculum. They also spearheaded the introduction of the Alternative category at the MOBO Awards in 2022 and established a Creative Musicianship Scholarship at ICMP to champion future generations of diverse talent.
