Kissin Dynamite – Not the End of the Road

Kissing Dynamite is ready to rock again and spread rock music all over the world. ‘Not the End of the Road’ is going to be released on January 21, 2022. Title song ‘Not the End of the Road\’ is the first single that was released to give us a preview of the album. It’s a feel good rock song about not giving up, even though life may suck some times. A message we all like to hear right now. The video shows the band on a landing track with planes and lead singer Hannes Braun in a fast car drifting around heaving a good time. Speed, fun and not giving up are definitely the key words of this song.

Next song that was released is called ‘What Goes Up’. It shows the band in an expensive mansion after a party, in the style of the movie \’Hangover\’. Hannes must have loved to create this video. He gets to smash things and enjoy the girls. A song about life, highs and lows. Anything that looks or feels great can come down if you are too greedy about it.

In between these singles, there\’s the third song on the album called ‘Only the Dead’. A kick ass rock song with a loud and clear drum beat. Softer in the verses, but loud as hell on the choruses. ‘Only the dead will be free from sorrow, only the dead don’t give a damn’. If I interpret this song right, it’s not necessarily about people who are actually dead, but about people who are in for a thrill and want to get everything out of life what’s in it.

On November 1, the third single got released. This one is named ‘Good Life’, and with that song, they support an organization that’s called ‘Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V.’ That organization supports children who suffer from cancer. All the profit of this song will go directly to them. The song is also supported by Alea from Saltatio Mortis, Guernica Mancini from Thunder Mother and Charlotte Wessels from Delain.

‘’Because everybody deserves a good life’’.

It\’s not as fast and pounding as the other songs, but it\’s a mellow rock song that definitely gets the message across and gets stuck in your head.

The next single that was released, was \’Yoko Ono\’. A calmer rock song about the toxic personality a significant other can have. It has a very catchy riff and melody that get stuck in your head immediately.

When you see that the title of a song is ‘Coming Home’, you expect a certain sound form it. A warm, family, touchy sound. And it does sound like that. A real feel good song that could be a nice song for around the Christmas tree. Not that it is a Christmas song, but it gives you the feeling of being with loved ones, enjoying life together. This song was the last single released before the album came out.

Then when you see the title ‘All For A Halleluja’, you expect some choirs, some church related stuff maybe, but no, this one is not like the title suggests. It’s full of fire, full of power. It’s more a ‘HELLeluja’ than a \’Halleluja’. The lyrics say that Rock’n Roll is not dead but sometimes misunderstood, well Kissin Dynamite is absolutely right and the rock and metal community proved me many times that we are one big family. ‘No One Dies A Virgin’ is probably the most killer song on the album. It’s fast and has an absolutely killer guitar solo. And if you are wondering why Kissin Dynamite wrote a song with that lyric, well in an interview I did with lead guitarist Jim Müller, he explains that the song was based on a quote of Kurt Cobain. Find out more about this song and stories of the whole album here.

\’Gone For Good\’ is about the person that just lost somebody, realizing what their message was all along. Not necessarily somebody that passed away, but maybe also a relationship that lost its connection. The song guides the message in a musical like way. You know, when you see the people in a musical dancing in front of you and the message just really hits the spot. It starts slow, then it builds up, blasts and then calms down again to end at one single note. Next song \’Defeat It\’ smashes all the calm out of you and brings the powerful feeling again. With the quote: ‘If you don’t need it, defeat it’, the message of this song is loud and clear.

‘Loving you is like a voodoo spell’, second to last song ‘Voodoo Spell’ is a love song. A relationship where you feel the other has you in their grasp. Kissin Dynamite captured the sound of ‘voodoo’ buy using a guitar effect that makes the guitar sound very low and trembling. Also, in the intro and in the build up before the last chorus, Hannes\’ goes very deep and trembling too. A song that gets stuck in your head because of it\’s catchy melodies and cool effects. Closer ‘Scars’ is a beautiful ballad to close the album. With a classic guitar and violins, the emotions are perfectly captured into this song. Like the promoting text with the album says: ‘An impressive ending that screams to be played live’. And I 100% agree with that.

This album just screams positivity. Sometimes life can suck, it can suck badly. But then you have to find the power to continue again and get back up again. Be it through live music, playing music, or maybe something totally different: get back up. All of this is being told to you in the form of kick ass Rock \’n Roll music, filled with emotions and the power to spread a positive message.
