Hellsinki Metal Festival 2025 line-up is complete
Hellsinki Metal Festival, which is being held for the third time in the area of the Helsinki Ice Hall aka Nordis, published the final list of performers for this year’s entire event.
HMF‘s latest additions are the English band Venom, who deserves at least the word “legendary”, who has been working with their extreme metal since 1979, Michael Schenker, who comes to Hellsinki for his My Years with UFO special gig, the Swedish Cult of Luna, who paints epic worlds, and the Belgian grindcore phenomenon Brutal Sphincter. In addition, Finnish expertise will be strengthened with the Rabbit Cult duo, who got off to a sudden start to their careers last year.

The Hellsinki Metal Festival‘s side programme is also being built at a fast pace, and the art exhibition Dark Art Gallery, which was launched last year, will also open its doors to new artists more widely this year. The open call for the exhibition is now open at https://gest.fi/customers/chbfig/7785. The curator of the exhibition, which will be revealed later, will work on the exhibition for Nordis this year during the spring.
HMF‘s VIP area, or RIP, will also develop this year, as the well-being of RIP visitors will be taken care of by adding a daily hot meal to the ticket. As usual, RIP customers have their own indoor toilet and a viewing area directly to the event on two outdoor stages in a rain-covered area.
This year’s Hellsinki Metal Festival‘s previously released artists include King Diamond, Old Man’s Child, Decapitated, Napalm Death, Ill Niño, Fear Factory, Dismember, AngelMaker, Hatebreed, Enslaved, Landmvrks, Kanonenfieber, Candlemass, Moonsorrow, Forbidden, Marduk, Me and That Man, Warmen, Party Cannon, GosT and Alfahanne.
Nordis is also sure to feature one of the most interesting performances of the coming summer, when the Blood Fire Death – A Tribute to Quorthon and the music of Bathory gig brings together a special line-up consisting of the crews of Watain, Aura Noir and Enslaved, among others. There will also be some still secret, but quite well-known visitors. The gigs to be seen at a few festivals next summer will pay tribute to the musical legacy of the late Thomas “Quorthon” Forsberg.
