Greek post-sludge-metal outfit Allochiria revealed video for ‘Darklight’
Athens-based post-sludge-metal band Allochiria will release their third full-length album “Commotion” on April 24th via Venerate Industries.
Having formed in 2008, Allochiria have released one self-titled EP and two full-length albums, Omonoia (2014) and Throes (Art of Propaganda, 2017), which were all met with great critical acclaim and allowed them to play alongside bands like Amenra, Deafheaven, Year of No Light, Altar of Plagues, Toundra, etc…
Recently, the Greek collective shared a music video for leading single “Darklight” via Invisible Oranges, who had this to say about the new album “Riffs, in their meatiest and most primal form, sit at the heart of Allochiria’s post-sludge metal. On the Greek band’s upcoming third album Commotion, they act like a beating heart, urgent conductors driving loose, heartfelt instrumental elements and completely uncompromising vocals. It’s an intensely headbangable record.”
Directed by Manos Daskalakis, “Darklight” music video is now playing here.
The band comments on this new video
“This pretty much describes a ghost town, where people were forced to evacuate due to war/oppression/occupation. “You” is the oppressor, who faces someday the oppressed in his deathbed, and may or may not regret his actions.”
Pre-orders are now available at this location
