Finnish horrorcore As I May unleashed new EP inspired by the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies
Finland’s horror squad AS I MAY is back with a killer new EP entitled “Dark Royal Revy”. The EP, mixed and mastered by Christoph Wieczorek (Sawdust Recordings) is heavily influenced by the legendary horror movie series “Nightmare on Elm Street” and the video game “Resident Evil”.
Combining modern low riffs with a little taste of deathcore synths to bring horror chills and atmosphere to haunt your listening experience, AS I MAY deliver “horrorcore” with infectious choruses and creepy chaos.
The band comments on the release of the new EP:
“This was a big project and journey for us. We carved a lot of our sound into the ideas that we had in our heads. It wasn’t as easy as we thought. We had to find a new tune for our instruments. Define guitar, bass, and drums all over again and then bring all atmosphere elements. All these songs are from much lower tunes than we have ever written any songs and we brought even more lower screams to back those up. We had to self-produce this EP. The idea was so clear for us that it was really hard to describe it to anybody who is an outsider to the band “
“Dark Royal Revy” is now available on all digital platforms as of November 8th, 2024.
