Finland’s Blood Chalice to reissue debut demo through Blood Harvest
Blood Harvest Records and Helter Skelter Productions set October 26th as the international release date for a new edition of Blood Chalice‘s self-titled debut demo. It shall be released on three different formats: digipak CD including a bonus DVD featuring the Live Ritual 2017 full show; and 10” vinyl including the Die Hard version, which includes the 10″ along with insert and poster, CD, DVD, and cassette tape version of the demo, all packed in a printed textile vinyl bag featuring the Blood Chalice logo. The cassette version can only be obtained by buying this bundle, and this version is strictly limited to 50 hand-numbered copies.
Blood Chalice made an auspicious start in 2016 with the release of their debut demo, originally titled Demo 2016. Wasting little time, the demo kicks in and grinds away with garish abandon – fucking BESTIAL in execution, but not by definition. Rather, this is ancient BLACK METAL, infused with the same savage spirit of their Finnish ancestors Beherit and Impaled Nazarene. So disgustingly swift was Blood Chalice‘s debut demo that brother label Regain Records signed the band for their debut album, Sepulchral Chants of Self-Destruction, which was released in early 2018 to underground acclaim. They then took this savagery to the live stage, where they’ve proven to be an overwhelming force.
Now, to clear the proverbial decks and heighten anticipation for Blood Chalice‘s next studio assault, Blood Harvest hereby reissues the band’s debut demo as Blood Chalice. Three different formats, three different ways to sup the wine of Satan!
