East Electric releases new single ‘Killer On The Run’
Helsinki-based band East Electric, conjuring up their stylistic rock, broke out their new song Killer On The Run, which is also the third single from the band’s upcoming debut album. They have so far already shared the singles Mothership and Remedy.
“Killer On The Run musically continues the line of the previous two tracks, but this time combining groovy funk rhythm with a furious chase. It features acoustic guitar rattles, multi-layered rhythm vocals and groovy percussion. As with previous releases, the recordings were made at Sonic Pump’s studio, rehearsal room and home studio,” the band commented.
In terms of production, East Electric still relies on its own vision, but the end result has been left to Robert Palomäki (Kingston Wall, Olavi Uusivirta) to mix. The band used the same proven formula on their debut EP East Electric released a year ago, which received wide attention on foreign radio stations and Spotify playlists. On Spotify alone, the EP has already gathered 135 000 plays.
East Electric combines grunge and rock with catchy melodies and stylish output. Vocalist Jocke Levälampi‘s charisma translates the interpretation directly into eleven, creating depth and fire in the lyrics. Toni Kajasti‘s guitar takes you on a musical journey where rough riffs alternate with understated keying. The rhythm is kept in order by progressive bass messenger Matti Vähätalo and thousand-handed drummer Tuukka Ilmakari.
This year, the band that has charmed the crowd at Louhela Jam, Helsinki Konepaja Festival and Kvak-Festival. Next up will be their show at the Helsinki Semifinal on 28.12.2024.
