She is brilliantly backed by the sensational George van Olffen on keyboards, the electrifying riffs of Martijn de Zeeuw on guitar, the thunderous grooves of Tim Hoogervorst on bass, and the unstoppable energy of Eva Levina on drums. Together, they create an unforgettable live experience!
“Pain” is a track taken from the band’s album “Underneath” out via Wormholedeath.
Ylisia‘s music is a clever blend of powerful vocals, catchy melodies, and driving rhythms, drawing inspiration from legendary acts like The Gathering, Evanescence, Within Temptation, and Kate Bush. Since their formation in 2021, the band has captivated audiences with their dynamic live shows, performing at renowned festivals like FemME, Bevrijdingfestival Wageningen, and Nieuwveen Live.
“Underneath” is more than just a symphonic metal album—it’s a deeply personal expression of emotion. Built around the compositions of keyboardist George van Olffen, the record captures two decades of musical ideas, coming to life with the current lineup formed in 2021.
Tracks like “September,” “Pain,” and “Underneath” showcase different sides of the band: from heavy rock to catchy choruses and atmospheric bridges. Meanwhile, songs like “Free,” written by vocalist Liesbeth Cordia after the tragic loss of her brother, bring raw emotion to the forefront of the album.
“Underneath” was meticulously mixed and mastered by Daan Janzing, ensuring a sound that strikes the perfect balance between heaviness and melody. The stunning artwork of Gogo Malone completes the package.
