Swiss avant-garde experimentalist outfit Schammasch announced their next album ‘The Maldoror Chants: Old Ocean’ to be released in October via Prosthetic Records and shared haunting lead single ‘They Have Found Their Master’, featuring additional vocals by Kathrine Shepard from Sylvaine!

Last year, at Steelfest we were blown away by the performance of Columbian power-trio Witchtrap. We loved the old school blackened thrash and speed metal, and now we get to look forward to more of it through their upcoming album ‘Hungry as the Beast’, set for release at the end of September via Hells Headbangers Records!

Finnish black metal icons Barathrum have set the release date for their 10th full-length ‘Überkill’ on October 11 via Hammer of Hate, and unleashed the title track as a teaser!

While the summer is about to be wrapping up, we can already look ahead towards the summer of 2025, especially after Tuska just announced the first 16 confirmed acts for next year’s edition with Electric Callboy, Powerwolf, Nothing More, Orbit Culture, Kim Dracula, Korpiklaani, Marko Hietala, Tarja, Charlotte Wessels, thrown, Eihwar, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, Blood Command, Arion and Tyrantti and the first announced headliner with Lorna Shore!
