Year 2023 is closing out and we at GRIMM have our sights set for next year and all the amazing shows and festivals coming up, but before that, let’s look into this past year in photos once again with a selection of Emerik’s favorite pictures, going from extreme and underground, to legendary bands like Nocturnal Sorcery, Horna, Nunslaughter, Merrimack, Pensées Nocturnes, Sex Messiah, Kalmankantaja, VV, Sick Of It All, Lordi, Michael Monroe, The Hellacopters, Possessed, The Mission, Lorna Shore, Kuvotus, Ingested, Voivod, Sodom, Watain, Burst, Full Of Hell, Demolition 23, and Brujeria!

Everyone get ready to party with the latest single ‘Dance Dance Revolution (Till The Death)’ from Florida’s Super Monster Party and get in good shape for New Year’s Eve partying!

Welcoming events that try to bring something different and out of the norm to Finland, we went to the second night of the club festival Hellsinki Techfest with Sirkuit Preiker, Khroma, Balance Breach and Hacktivist back in September for some killer music and high energy!

Nonpoint, one of our photographers’ favorite bands to see live, made a stop at The Eclectic Room in Angola, Indiana on their “The Milliion Watts Tour 2023” and with the help of (hed)pe, Sumo Cyco and VRSTY turned the night in an absolute barn burner!

Shereign finished off their year with a gig at Tampere YO-Talo on December 9th, organized by Nem Agency. They brought along Ikinä, Everwave and Lastout to make the night complete with up-and-coming Finnish artists.

While they are preparing their sophomore full-length, Rioghan is treating us on the EP ‘Covers III’ via Inverse Records, and a brand-new music video for their hit track ‘Reflection’ featuring footage of their first ever gig!

A new chapter in the While She Sleeps story is underway, and now they unveiled another part of that with the single ‘DOWN’, featuring Alex Taylor of Malevolence, and another track from their upcoming album ‘SELF HELL’ set for release in March via Spinefarm Records!

German alt-metallers Emil Bulls released their new single ‘Love Will Fix It’, the title track of their upcoming album, set for release next month via Arising Empire!

The second night of John Smith Rock Frozen 2023 was pretty epic with some of the best of the Finnish scene with Red Eleven, Kiuas, Finntroll, Turmion Kätilöt and headliners Amorphis! Throw on top of that the Swedish up-and-comers of Orbit Culture, and you know it was good!
