You don’t need to look to Germany to still find excellent wave bands. You can find them right here in Flanders. With one foot in the gothic rock of yore and the other in the dark recesses of the nineties, This Can Hurt delivered a fantastic sophomore with ‘Worlds Apart’.

While I appreciate the guts it took to not stick to the formula that works for Enthroned, I don’t think this is a really good album although it certainly could be the stepping stone to an absolute classic.

In June of 2019 we the very first Miracle Metal Meeting took place at Brielpoort in Deinze. For the first edition they sure hit like a bomb! They invited the creme of the crop of contemporary Belgian metal.
