Belgian psychedelic post-metal trio Psychonaut released new single and announced upcoming album!
Psychedelic post-metal trio Psychonaut has released a brand new almost 7 minute long single/video ‘Interbeing‘. A track from the upcoming and highly anticipated studio album ‘Violate Consensus Reality’, scheduled for release on October 28, 2022 via Pelagic Records:
“Interbeing is a perfect example of how Psychonaut can embody their subject matter through sound and dynamic. Rather than hiding a mediocre melody behind a big climax, the trio from Mechelen first embody the moment, before blowing it up to larger than life proportions. Similar to classic hard rock tracks like Achilles Last Stand or Immigrant song, every note feels devoted to the revelation of a new civilisation rooted in mindful co-existence. An enlightening addition to Progressive Metal.“
For those who missed out on Psychonaut taking the world by storm with their earlier release ‘Unfold The God Man‘ (read our review of the album here), a release we crowned as the best of 2020 with our editorial team:
Psychonaut is a psychedelic post-metal collective from Mechelen, Belgium. Their signature and hypnotizing sound is strongly influenced by 70’s bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, but at the same time finds inspiration from bands like Tool and Amenra. Their debut album ‘Unfold The God Man‘ really put the acid rock trio on the map!
