French black metal avant-gardist Deathspell Omega has exhibited its unrivaled trademarks proving to be the most innovative and original band ever. Since their groundbreaking 2010 album “Paracletus” the trio had reinvented their work through a series of creative approaches to black metal. Each innovative far-flung studio albums like "Si Monvmentvm Reqvires", "Circvmspice", and "Fas-Ite, Maledicti, In Ignem Aeternum" intertwined with complex guitar textures, superb technique, and dissonance. The meticulous architecture of the sonic creation has now reached its peak in the band’s eighth opus “The Long Defeat”.

Since 2010 Swedish occult rock band Ghost began to achieve the worldwide success which ultimately put them at the forefront of contemporary rock bands. The quirky combination of classic Mercyful Fate, ABBA, and Black Sabbath worked as a potent concoction that would attract fans around the globe. Ghost stage shows are renown for their satanic theatrics and it’s probably best displayed by the frontman Tobias Forge aka “Papa Emeritus IV”. While the lyrical content carries subtle messages, Ghost’s music soars with sonic vibrancy and hymnal melodies joined by church organ and raucous guitar riffs and despite all the lush soundscapes, the thrilling vocals and songs are filled with catchiness and hooks.

Scorpions are one of my favorite bands that I grew up listening to when I was in high school and the fact is that they have remained dear to my heart until this very day. I still recall the beautiful memories from the early 1990s when I first discovered bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and the list goes on…the German hard rock legends are still relevant in the realm of rock music. For over 50 years in business, Scorpions have been quite influential in their early and mid-career with their discography including a wide selection of great records such as “Fly to the Rainbow”, “In Trance”, and “Love Drive”, “ Blackout” etc…

Booooom! Here it is.... the first new album from The Hellacopters since they released 'Head Off' in 2008 - which they called a temporary farewell record. If 14 years means temporary to this guys I do not want to know what happens when they talk about 'not temporary'. Was it worth waiting? Oh, hell(a) yeah, it was for sure. What a great comeback. Straight dirty rock, fast and loud.

Hellfrost And Fire is a side-project band consisting of Dave Ingram (Benediction, Down among the Dead, ex-Hail of Bullets, ex-Bolt Thrower), Travis Ruvo (Akatharta, Amond the Decayed, Echelon) and Rick DeMusis. The trio has joined forces to offer fans a solid take on old-school death metal, with legendary vocalist Dave Ingram offering his trademark growls, you’re likely to recall classic recollection like Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower and Benediction. While the album cover art of the band’s debut 'Fire, Frost and Hell' has some similitude to Celtic Frost's 1984 classic EP 'Morbid Tales'. The ten tracks chisel out straight, but simply groovy songs that would definitely make your head bang to the stomping guitars and bulldozing drums.

Aussie death metal quartet Golgothan Remains showed a great deal of potential when the band released its debut album 'Perverse Offerings to the Void' in 2018. Their brand of death metal now has widened a lot from its initial stage. With the basic outline of their classic Aussie brutality, the sophomore 'Adorned In Ruins' proves the signature sound of this group is constantly evolving. The second album was recorded and mixed by Aaron Worboys at Adversary Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The lineup includes Aled Powell (drums), Matt Hillman (guitars) and new members Matthieu Van den Brande (vocals) and Adam Martin (bass guitar).

One of Italy's oldest black metal outfits Frostmoon Eclipse has had a pretty lengthy and consistent career that started all the way back in 1994, 7 full-length albums and 5 EP's besides a bunch of split albums under their belt and now a 6th EP under the form of 'Rustworn', released via Immortal Frost Productions. Even the line-up has been pretty consistent for the past decade or so with founding member and guitarist Claudio Alcara, filled out with Gionata Potenti on drums, Lorenzo Sassi on vocals and Davide Gorrini on bass. The release boasts 2 new tracks and 3 live renditions of old tracks, clocking in on a bit over half an hour playtime and promising a sound that harks back from the heydays of nineties' black metal.

Power Paladin is a power metal band hailing from Iceland. They originally formed back in 2017 under the name Paladin. In order to avoid confusion with similarly named thrash and heavy metal bands however, they wisely added the prefix "Power" to their name. 'With the Magic of Windfyre Steel' is the band's debut album, released earlier this year through Atomic Fire Records. This was also the first full-length release from the recently founded record label.

Father Befouled has firmly established itself in a niche for the obscure death metal style. Having formed in 2006, the Atlanta quartet released four albums that would set the eerie and darken concoction that is their sound. Mastermind Justin Stubbs (vocals, guitars, synth), Derrik Goulding (guitars), Rhys Spencer (bass), and Amos Rifkin (drums) continue to deliver their oppressive brand of nebulous death metal. Those who like their music draped in murky darkness rest assured, because their fifth album “Crowned In Veneficum” is a grisly embodiment sculptured by down-tuned guitars and pulverizing drum attacks.
