Dynazty is lead by vocalist Nils Molin, who you might have heard as the clean singer in Amaranthe. Dynazty is his original band, bringing melodic heavy metal with clean vocals and synth elements. Their latest album 'Game of Faces' released on valentines day 2025. Lets see what it brings us!

A mysterious sound welcomes us when Call of the Night blasts through your speakers. A little bit of a creaking sound, leaving you wondering what will come next. Next, the room fills with a rich and full sound. Nils’ vocals come in very clean on top of heavy guitars that play lower powerchords. The solo makes this song complete. The song is upbeat and catchy. Repeat button, here I come. Game of Faces, title track of this album, is just as catchy and upbeat. The song tells you to not blindly trust anybody. You will never know who will hurt you or when you possibly get tricked. This all on a bed of melodic heavy metal music.

Devilry of Ecstasy opens with a dynamic mysterious sound, then short and fast powerchords come in. The choruses and verses are very melodic, while the instrumental parts between those two are short and sturdy. After the solo, all instruments go silent and it’s just Nils’ voice for a short moment. Then all is joined together again and this song comes to an end.
Die to Survive comes in with the lead guitar playing the melody in high notes. That fades out into smooth powerchords. The powerchords by the electric guitars and the bass and drums are switching parts, hearing one or the other in the verses. A sturdy song that plays with the instruments and melody.

Fire to Fight is fast and solid. The guitar rings out in the verse and for a moment it’s only Nils’ vocals on a bad of drums and bass. In the second verse, the guitar shows a palm mute. The third verse the guitar lets out a subtle melody during this part. A very dynamic song that plays with the guitar parts, and a killer solo to top it of.
Dark Angel is opened by a synth that fluently goes into the band playing in a fast pace. Fast, smooth and sensitive is how the song feels. The very fast drums sound amazing beneath Nils’ high vocals on the chorus, going into fast played powerchords.

Fortune Favors the Brave makes great use of the synth in this song. Especially in the verses, it creates a little disco beat vibe. The song tells us to “unchain your heart ’till the morning light“, to be free just for a bit, because “fortune always favour all the brave“. A very melodic song with a heavy breakdown.
Sole Survivor builds up slowly into heavy guitars with the synth clearly on top. The song marches through with a steady pace. The song stands strong and does not go aside for anything or anybody. It stands strong and continues the same way it came in.

Phoenix has the fire burning through the harmonious melodies of the song. Nils‘ vocals are higher, as are the guitars. The verses are Nils‘ vocals on top of a bed of drums, later joined by guitars and bass, creating a longing feeling for the chorus where the harmonies are the strongest. The solo adds to the fire, then we get one more solo and the Phoenix has risen.
Dream of Spring is opened by drums and a mysterious sound in the background. Then the guitars join in on the same melody. Everything goes quiet and Nils’ vocals come in on a bed of calm instruments. The power ballad of this album.

“On the day of Eden’s fall
Through the darkest night of all
We dream of spring”

Closer Mystery tells us nothing new in terms of what we already heard on other songs. The same great melodic heavy metal music with a great solo. A steady song to close this album on.

Dynazty manages to deliver a solid album. It plays with melodies and pitches, making the album interesting for the most of it. The album could use some more variety in the style of the songs if you ask me. I lost a little bit of interest by closer ‘Mystery‘. But that could be because that one in particular didn’t appeal to me as much as the other songs. The other songs seemed to be more playful and dynamic in the use of the instruments and vocals. In conclusion; a great album to add to their discography!
