Norwegian black metal/punk act Haust share new track ‘Left To Die’

,

Norwegian black-metal/punk legends HAUST have just unveiled another track from their forthcoming new album “Negative Music”, which is set to be released on April 19 on Fysisk Format.

Titled “Left To Die”, this new track has premiered at Everything Is Noise, who commented “With just the brief moment of feedback that opens up “Left to Die”, you can just tell that this is going to be gritty as all hell. It has a raucous attitude similar to what you’d heard from Motörhead (canonically proto-punk) with razor sharp guitar tremolos that cut through the mix like daggers.”

Vocalist Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg had this to say about the new track

“A punk banger borrowing screeching tremolo guitar from bands like Aura Noir and Darkthrone. The song is about fear and disgust for double standards in society. Similar to the old Haust song “Anti-Reproductive,” it paints a dark and icy Norway.”

Haust original band members, Ruben Willem, Dag Otto Basgård, Pål Bredup, and Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg, reunited in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their their debut album “Ride The Relapse” with a legendary live performance, and as a result, they decided to record new music together nearly 14 years following the release of their last studio album “Powers of Horror” issued in 2010.

Titled “Negative Music”, this album summarizes everything Haust has done and stood for in the last 16 years: negativity, death, and corruption are recurring themes, and the music is more aggressive, noisy and catchy than ever before.

If you missed it, the album’s leading single “Dead Ringer” features Ivar Nikolaisen of Kvelertak and The Good The Bad and The Zugly on vocals and sees Haust returning to the dark horror-inspired landscape of their early days.
