Third trailer for Avatarium’s upcoming album!
Doomy vintage rock wizards Avatarium will deliver their third full length album Hurricanes And Halos on May 26th and unveiled their third studio trailer for this magically haunting release last week. In this clip, the band discusses the recording process with their new members and introduces keyboarder Rickard Nilsson and the new bass player, Mats Rydström, who joined Avatarium last year, after Leif Edling decided to focus on his role as songwriter. Watch the new clip to hear more about them and to witness the ‘loudest drummer in Sweden’:
Once again, Avatarium rely on beauty and darkness, heavy guitars and fragile sounds, unique female vocals and the mystic vintage blues sound from the 60s, while still staying on modern ground and trusting into the haunting soul of doom rock. Six out of the eight new tracks were forged by Candlemass wizard Leif Edling, but guitar master Marcus Jidell and singer Jennie-Ann Smith also contributed to the songwriting and formed a worthy successor to The Girl With The Raven Mask that topped multiple soundchecks in 2015 and brought them the ‘Up And Coming’-award from German Metal Hammer. The new album Hurricanes And Halos will be available as a digipak and double-LP (black or gold sleeved) and will cover the following artwork:
Track list
1 – Into The Fire / Into The Storm
2 – The Starless Sleep
3 – Road To Jerusalem
4 – Medusa Child
5 – The Sky At The Bottom Of The Sea
