A kind of spooky sound opens the album. A dark touch is added to the album right away. ‘My smile still shows through this bloody nose’. The first song that Hollywood Undead put on this album, ‘Bloody Nose’, talks about hiding emotions. Depression even. ‘Look how many hits it took her’. A relationship that ended. A punch in the face. ‘Here I go through this broken road’. ‘Still I go’. This song paints the picture of people that smile everyday. Yet hide a lot of negative feelings without you realizing it.

‘Live Fast Die Young’ has a modern touch to it. Almost a poppy feeling somewhere hidden in it. A song about the things you’ve went through. ‘I rather burn out than fade away’. ‘You might choke on this words but you sing along’. Live to the fullest. Sometimes do dumb things. Take the responsibility for these dumb things and continue to live life to the fullest. ‘I’ll smile when the time comes’.

‘No choice but to win, to believe that we can win’. ‘Like broken records we keep trying’. ‘The world is worth the fight’. ‘The light will find us, even if it blinds us’. ‘Something to Believe in’ sounds like the spark of light after the darkest thoughts just invaded your brain. ‘This is not the end’. ‘Believe is all that we need’. Just quoting parts of the song already can give you the idea how this song feels. Powerful, loaded with a heavy burden.

‘On Another Level’ doesn’t say much lyrical wise, but after listening to the previous songs, let your head paint the pictures to this song.

‘I just want to turn back time, to the good old days’, o wait wrong song. ‘Let Go’ It kinda takes the melody of the 21 Pilots song ‘Stressed Out‘. ‘You gotta let go, I hope some day you understand’.

A really dark album in general. About death, about living, about depression. Hollywood Undead is always good in bringing up heavy subjects and talk or sing about it. It makes it really heavy to listen to, but that also gives the album character. A really strong character I might say.
Not only strong, but a really dark as well. Only with the brightness of your screen all the way up, you can see the logo printed behind the letters that spell out ‘Psalms’.

I just grew silent while listening to this album. It really is a sensitive album that talks about a heavy subject. It makes you think about your own live, about the live of others you know. What are you doing? Are you happy with what you are doing? Do you want to continue live like you are living it now? What is the meaning of this life? …
