SteelChaos is the little indoors brother of of Steelfest Open Air (for our report of that event go here) and takes place the second weekend of November. Since we were so highly impressed by the open air underground metal festival, we just had to make sure that we could check out their indoor “winter edition”. The line-up is filled with impressive and often exclusive names in the underground, mostly black, metal scene and will draw many fans of the dark and extreme to the shores of Helsinki…

There are some definite eye-catchers in the gathering of underground artists. First and foremost there’s Master’s Hammer, who is playing their first show in 25 years at Brutal Assault this weekend. The venue will also be ripped to pieces by the always impressive Nifelheim, bringing their full stage production exclusively to SteelChaos. A few more exclusives are Heretic, playing an old school set, and the Ride For Revenge + Bizarre Uproar collaboration set. And those are just a few of the strong line-up…

Every day the doors open at 18h00, first band starts at 19h00 and a festival day should last until about 2h00 in the night, so everything will take place in absolute and utter darkness. The event takes place at Nosturi in Helsinki and is the perfect place for such an undertaking with its industrial look and feel. Make sure you get your ticket right away, because it’s about to get sold out! Tickets are sold right now here, last time we checked there were barely 50 tickets left. So be fast is the message…
