Machine Head coming to Finland this summer!
Hellsinki Metal Festival will raise the international metal atmosphere even before this summer’s festival by bringing the American band Machine Head to Finland on July 1st. The tour, which will make a stop at the Helsinki Ice Hall, will be accompanied by the Italian symphonic metal master Fleshgod Apocalypse.
The gig in Helsinki is part of the band’s release tour for their 11th anniversary album ‘Unatøned ‘, which will be released on 25 April. You can watch the latest Unbøund music video released from the upcoming album here.
Founded in 1991 in Oakland, California, Machine Head‘s career can be considered at least interesting – after all, the band achieved the greatest popularity in Europe during their first albums, but soon they also took over the domestic stages. The Californian band, which has become one of the cornerstones of their own style, was last seen in Helsinki in 2022 on their acclaimed joint tour with Amon Amarth.
The band, which sails through the cross-wave of post thrash, nu metal and groove metal, has said that they have been influenced by Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth and Black Sabbath, among others. The upcoming album of Machine Head, which has also been seen as a Grammy nominee, has been produced by the band’s founder and guitarist-vocalist Robb Flynn together with Zack Ohren, who is also responsible for the recording of the album. You can read the band’s thoughts on the new album here.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday March 14th at 10 a.m. CET on Ticketmaster.
