The Original Sin celebrate their comeback with a new single and crowdfunding campaign
After a two-year hiatus, The Original Sin – formerly known as Sündenrausch – are making a powerful return. The Hamburg-based alternative rock duo, consisting of Kira Sinister and Michael Albers, is stepping into the next chapter of their journey with a new name, a fresh aesthetic, and their signature profound lyrics. The reason for their break? A life-changing event – the birth of Kira’s twins.
The comeback kicks off with their new single “Digital Dolls,” out now everywhere:
“Digital Dolls explores the relentless flood of images on social media that distorts our perception of reality,” explains vocalist Kira Sinister. “While women are pressured by unattainable beauty standards, the constant over-staging leads to an over-sexualized perception, particularly from a male perspective. At the same time, the line between real and digitally altered content is becoming increasingly blurred – what is still real, and what is a perfectly curated illusion?”
For the music video and the drums on the track, The Original Sin collaborated with renowned drummer Alex Landenburg (Kamelot, Cyhra, among others), whose precise and energetic playing adds another dimension to the single.
To fund the production of their 5-track EP and another music video, the band has launched a crowdfunding campaign. The production is in the hands of Phil Hillen (SU2 Studio), who has worked with major artists like Alissa White-Gluz.
🎯 Goal: €5,000 to ensure the best possible quality for the new songs. Supporters can look forward to exclusive rewards.
📅 Crowdfunding Deadline: March 31, 2025
🎯 Target: €5,000 for the EP + Music Video
