Rockfest completed the line-up with Manic Street Preachers, D-A-D and more!

This year, Finland’s largest rock festival Rockfest will be celebrated in Turku from Thursday to Saturday 12.-14.6. The massive event will take place at the Artukainen field and the adjacent Gatorade Center. The festival’s rich line-up was complemented last Friday by eight new band confirmations. The line-up is now ready and the performers have been divided to each day.

The latest additions to the Rockfest line-up is topped by the Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers, who made their breakthrough in 1998 with their album This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. The album’s huge hits If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next and You Stole The Sun From My Heart were played all over the world and the album became one of the most significant cornerstones of British rock history. During their 30-year career, the band has released 15 albums, the most recent in January last year, and performed on the main stages of numerous international festivals.

The festival will also feature the international flagship band of Danish rock, the melodic rock band D-A-D, known for their hits Sleeping My Day Away, Grow or Pay and Bad Craziness, the Swedish punk rock band Millencolin, H.E.A.T. formed by Dream and Trading Fate, Finnish supergroup Crownshift featuring members of Children of Bodom, Nightwish and Finntroll, alternative rock band Sara, and the up-and-coming metalcore band Awake Again and Toivo-Olavi, who grew up in Turku Rock Academy and combines modern metal, pop and electronic music.

The headliners of Rockfest are Muse, Judas Priest and Till Lindemann. In addition to Manic Street Preachers and D-A-D, the line-up also includes Bullet For My Valentine, The Cult and Sepultura, among others.

Rockfest will now be held in Turku for the first time. The festival spreads to the Artukainen field, where there are two stages and two VIP areas. Indoors, the Gatorade Center has one stage and a VIP restaurant, as well as other event services. A map of the area has been published at https://rockfest.fi/info/festivaalialue/

The area is easily accessible by public transport. For those arriving by car, parking space has been reserved in the parking area of the Turku Fair Centre. Rockfest has campsites for tent and Rockbox cottage lodgers as well as caravans.
