Belgian metalcore band Deadlines shared the single ‘Downfall’

The Ghent metalcore band Deadlines continues to stand out with their raw, emotionally charged music. Their latest single, “Downfall,” makes a bold statement against the societal roles and expectations that bring us down. This track highlights the struggle to remain true to oneself in a world that often tries to force you into a mold, while also addressing personal themes such as mental health.

Downfall builds on the success of previous releases like the EPs Human Error and Eternal Decent, where Deadlines already focused on inner struggle, resilience, and the need to break free from personal and societal limitations.

With this new single, they once again showcase their signature blend of heavy riffs, emotional melodies, and social themes. The band aims to encourage listeners to free themselves from destructive societal expectations and to find their own path.

Deadlines has strengthened their live reputation by sharing the stage with bands like Fleddy MelculySpoil EngineAlien Weaponry, and NovelistsFR, and has performed in iconic venues such as De Casino (BE), Kroepoekfabriek (NL), Dynamo (NL), and Bibelot (NL).

“Downfall” is a powerful single from the Eternal Decent EP, recorded at Hillroad Studio in Luttenberg, Netherlands, with producer Daan Nieboer from Cornerstone Audio. This single was released on July 26, 2024, and is an important part of the EP, which delves into themes such as societal pressure, inner struggle, and resilience. “Downfall” follows earlier releases like “Solstice,” the Human Error EP, and the Eternal Decent EP.

The song highlights how societal expectations and roles bring us down, encouraging listeners to find their inner strength amidst chaos. With their signature blend of heavy riffs and emotional intensity, Deadlines continues to convey their message of power, self-reflection, and resistance against external pressures.

“Downfall” is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube (Music).
