Kissin Dynamite – Back With a Bang

Stadium rock band Kissin Dynamite is Back with a Bang! Their 8th album released on July 24, 2024. Let's see if this album explodes as loudly in our ears as the bright yellow cover with dynamite on it makes us expect it to do.

Title track ‘Back with a Bang’ starts explosively with a classic Rock ‘n Roll scream by lead singer Hannes Braun. Pure stadium rock fills your ears and gets you pumped right from the start. Get ready to conquer the world!
‘My Monster’ opens with a solid riff. Then it calms down and lets the verses tell its story. The chorus fills the room with its spacious sound that’s especially beautiful with headphones on.

Drums open ‘Raise Your Glass’, which takes you on a trip down memory lane. Sometimes it’s good to stand still and think about all the amazing things we have already accomplished and celebrate those memories. This song creates that feeling. A feel good rock n roll song!
‘Queen of the Night’ opens rather surprisingly with a piano tapping its chords. The electric guitar adds some power and the song turns in a very melodic sing along that gets stuck in your head.

After Powerwolf’’s ‘Demons are a Girls Best Friend’, we now have Kissin Dynamite’s The ‘Devil is a Woman’. A very powerful riffs masters you from the start of the song. Top that off with a crazy guitar solo and you have this a amazing song to rock out to.
“The Best is yet to Come” opens calmly and collectedly. Slowly it climbs to the top until the chorus, where it feels like you’ve reached the top.

‘We’ve only just begun, the best is yet to come’.

‘I Do it My Way’ opens with clean picked guitar notes. The guitar stays calm on this one, but we do get another feel good song to enjoy.
‘More is More’ says its title in a robot voice to introduce the song. Simple and clear: it knows what it’s doing and how it’s supposed to be. A softer rock song with a killer guitar solo to make the name of the song loud and clear.

‘Iconic’ welcomes us with a tremolo effect. The pause in between the verse right before the chorus has a special effect; you want to know what’s next and for a split second that tension is created by that pause. It doesn’t take long before that tension is relieved and we get to enjoy the rest of the song.
‘Learn to Fly’ is back with the classic stadium rock scream. A very melodic rock song on a bed of soft rock ‘n roll. The solo however, kicks some energy into this song. It’s not soft; it’s fast and energetic. Some more screams are added and some pauses create tension, turning this, what I saw as a soft song, into one with more energy and power.

A very nice rock n roll riff opens ‘When The Lights Go Out’. The guitars go calm when the vocals come on, then vice versa. The guitar is strong in this one and makes you headbang throughout the song. This one is not so sweet, but rather naughty.
We end the album with ‘Not A Wise Man’, surprisingly an acoustic song. The power ballad of the album. We always need one, and it’s actually pretty satisfying to end on it.

What can I say, the title of the album is true. Kissin Dynamite really is back with a bang.
